It is now less than a year to go until the third Aberdeen Passion is staged. At the time of writing, the venue was in the process of being confirmed.
We don’t want to give away too much just yet but the script does include a very dramatic start!!
We have been looking at ways to reduce the cost for the production this time round and so we have agreed to reduce our time at the AECC to save a day’s hire cost. The plan is that we will get in on Friday morning and set up. We will have a technical rehearsal on Friday night. And then it will be a mad Saturday – dress rehearsal in the morning and performances in the afternoon and evening before we get out on Saturday night.
We will also be expanding the capacity for each performance to 1100 using seats on the floor as well as the tiered seating and the whole stage area will be raised this time so that those in the seats on the flat will still be able to see. This will mean the same number of people will be able to enjoy the performances as in previous years.
