Aberdeen Passion 2012As Christians we strongly believe in the power of prayer and equally strongly believe   Aberdeen Passion Plays needs people praying for it. If you are able to give any time, no matter how little, in your week to spend praying for us as a team as well as the work of Aberdeen Passion Plays itself we would extremely grateful and humbled.

Virtual Prayer Times

In the lead up to the first Aberdeen Passion we launched “virtual prayer times” and supported them through providing some prayer requests and updates for people to focus around.

The vision behind virtual prayer times was to have Christians all over the North East of Scotland (and the world it turned out!) holding The Aberdeen Passion up in prayer before the Lord each Wednesday evening between 8pm and 8.30pm. It didn’t have to be for the whole time as a single prayer carries mighty weight in the heavens! We chose the time deliberately as the various rehearsals were in full swing during these times; however we also found out that it was actually a perfect time for so many church midweek prayer meetings and services.

We believe the lifting up of prayer in the lead up to the performances was a major factor in the success of The Aberdeen Passion and so will be looking into launching thre virtual prayer times again for the 2014 production.

However, there is no reason why we shouldn’t still be praying and so we would ask if you are able to give even a quick regular prayer asking the Lord’s blessing on the planning for the 2014 production we would be profoundly humbled.

Thank you to all who currently uphold the project in their prayers and we ask the Lord’s blessing on you all.
